Description
A bold and mechanically expressive piece of industrial history, this original engineering pattern mould was used approximately 40 to 60 years ago in the production of mining machinery components.
Finished in its original red factory paint, the surface carries authentic wear, markings, and patina, evidence of decades of use in a working engineering environment.
The design is centred around a striking symmetrical “oil pump” formation, with four raised cylindrical forms connected by a central bar. This creates a strong, balanced structure that feels both technical and sculptural.
Etched into the wood is “Simco Oil Pump 2023”, with additional handwritten markings including “Oil Pump 2023-4” and “2-B”, preserving its original identity and function.
Crafted from solid wood with metal fittings and mounting points, it retains the rugged integrity of its industrial origins.
This piece can be mounted on a wall using a sturdy bolt, or styled leaning against a wall for a bold, curated look.
A true one-of-a-kind statement piece, this is authentic industrial decor, structured, sculptural, and rich in history.
