We (Sean and Telana) are busy working on our limited edition Simco Range of Industrial Art and Furniture. This range is being made from the wood moulds we salvaged, which were used between 40 and 70 or so years ago in Telana’s family’s old Engineering Factory, that has recently closed down.
Each item is unique, and these kinds of moulds are hard to find. Hence each piece we make will be a one-of-a-kind original!
In this section of our site we will be showing you the raw material – the moulds, as they are, before we start any work on them.
We’ll give you an idea of what we think they can be made into, but if you like one of the items and want us to make it into something else and special for you, just let us know.
We will also custom make the pieces for you, to your preferred look – as in we can keep it original, or we can sand and polish and varnish it up to your heart’s desire (read more about this here). If you want a piece made sooner than as we work our way through the moulds, then let us know.
