Description
A bold and graphic piece of industrial history, this original engineering pattern mould was used approximately 60 years ago in the production of mining machinery components.
Finished in its original red factory paint, this piece carries layers of wear, scratches, and markings from decades of use, creating a richly textured, authentic patina.
A distinctive angled raised form runs across the surface, giving the piece a strong directional and almost architectural presence. Etched into this raised section is “RH Draw Head Simco Eng”, while handwritten markings “D-A” (in white) and “D” (in black) remain visible, adding to its factory identity and story.
Constructed from solid wood with metal fittings and mounting points, it retains the rugged integrity of its original purpose.
This piece can be mounted on a wall using a sturdy bolt, or styled leaning against a wall for a more relaxed, curated industrial look.
