Cleaning the old typewriter

After Telana’s been cleaning this for many hours in front of netflix, we uncovered the word ‘magic’ which helped to identify this salvaged find from the old Engineering company… “The Royal Typewriter Company manufactured this Royal Magic Margin typewriter around 1940. The typewriter’s patented Magic Margin design allowed the typist to set both the left and right hand margins with a simple push of a lever. With easy margin-switching, the Royal KMM could easily address envelopes, tabulate figures, and create tables.”…

Giant Tables first move

Last weekend we moved the pieces of our giant table to our home workshop. It’s in prep for the next step, which is to resin the table top. It took two teams of guys, a crane and a big flatbed truck to load the wooden table tops, and then the metal frame, and offload it all again.
