A bold yet refined industrial artefact, this original SIMCO engineering pattern mould features a striking recessed wheel form, offering a quieter, more introspective counterpart to its protruding companion piece.

Instead of projecting outward, the circular design is carved inward – creating depth through shadow and subtle contour. The result is a piece that feels grounded, balanced, and architectural, with a strong central focal point that draws the eye in.

Handwritten markings reading “21 D-7” remain visible on the surface, alongside faint workshop lines and layout guides – authentic traces of its working life in an industrial setting.

The aged blue-painted finish, worn back to reveal raw wood and warm undertones, gives the piece a softer, timeworn character while still holding onto its industrial roots. Rust-toned metal plates and fixing points add contrast and reinforce its utilitarian past.
