Description
A striking example of industrial craftsmanship, this original engineering pattern mould was used approximately 50 to 60 years ago in the production of mining machinery components.
Finished in a soft grey factory paint, this piece carries authentic signs of its working life: worn edges, scratched markings, and an exposed section of raw wood where a component is missing. These details add depth, texture, and a sense of history that cannot be replicated.
The mould features multiple raised forms and mechanical shapes, giving it a structured, almost architectural feel. Handwritten markings including “SIMCO” and “22 C/H” remain visible, alongside the etched factory marking “Simco Copes End 1229”, tying it directly to its original industrial use.
Solid wood construction is complemented by small metal fittings, reinforcing its rugged, functional origins.
This piece can be mounted on a wall using a sturdy bolt, or styled leaning against a wall for a more relaxed, curated industrial look.
