Description
A bold piece of industrial history, this original engineering pattern mould was used approximately 60 years ago to cast components for mining machinery.
Crafted from solid wood, the piece features a beautifully weathered white wood surface, contrasted by a striking red moulded form at its centre. The red paint, likely used during its working life in the factory, has worn and faded over time, creating a raw, layered industrial look that can’t be replicated.
Stamped and handwritten markings tell part of its story, including “Counter Eight”, “2-B”, and “Simco Eng”, linking it to its original engineering use and adding to its authenticity.
Small metal fittings around the edges and mounting points remain intact, reinforcing its mechanical origin.
This piece can be mounted on a wall using a sturdy bolt, or styled leaning against a wall for a more relaxed, curated industrial look.
A true one-of-a-kind find, this is not decor made to look industrial, it is the real thing.
