Description
A bold and visually layered piece of industrial history, this original engineering pattern mould was used in the casting of machine components, marked with references including TS-2 and IPPER-TOP 2024-1.
The design features a distinctive framed recessed section, housing a central curved form that creates depth and shadow. Below, two circular protrusions add balance and symmetry, giving the piece a strong, almost interface-like composition.
Finished in its original factory red, the surface carries rich, authentic wear – most notably the white paint splatters across the upper section, which add a raw, expressive layer to its industrial character.
Handwritten markings include “TS-2”, “2-B”, and additional workshop notes such as “B601-2-0” and “18 off”, preserving its functional history and making it a true artefact of its time.
Crafted from solid wood with original metal fittings, this is a one-of-a-kind piece, preserved in its honest, time-worn condition.
