Red Industrial Pattern Mould Wall Hanging – SIMCO A/B 2070

Description

A richly textured industrial artefact, this original SIMCO engineering pattern mould combines sculptural form with expressive surface character.

At its centre, a layered cylindrical structure (flanked by a lever-like element) creates depth and visual weight, giving the piece a strong mechanical presence. The raised forms feel purposeful and engineered, hinting at the functional role this mould once played.

What truly sets this piece apart, however, is the distinctive surface patina. Across the red-painted base are scattered marks and splatter-like textures – evidence of years in a working environment. These irregular patterns add movement and unpredictability, contrasting beautifully with the structured central form.

Faint workshop markings can still be made out, including “A/B 2070” and traces of “Simco Eng” beneath worn areas and old tape – subtle details that deepen its authenticity.

This is a piece where structure meets spontaneity – a balance between engineered precision and the raw marks of time.
