A refined and minimal piece of industrial history, this original engineering pattern mould was used approximately 40 to 60 years ago in the production of mining machinery components.

Finished in its original red factory paint, the surface carries authentic wear, markings, and patina – subtle scratches and faded lines that reflect its working life while maintaining a clean, understated presence.

The design is defined by a simple, structured layout, featuring two horizontal raised elements and a small central protrusion. The restrained composition gives the piece a quiet, architectural quality, allowing its texture and history to take centre stage.

Etched into the wood is “Simco Spring Brack 2021-8”, while handwritten markings include “Spring – BRKT 2024-8” and the bold “2-B”, preserving its identity from the factory floor.

Faint layout lines and construction markings remain visible beneath the surface, adding depth and authenticity.

Crafted from solid wood with metal fittings and mounting points, it retains the rugged integrity of its industrial origins.

This piece can be mounted on a wall using a sturdy bolt, or styled leaning against a wall for a more relaxed, curated look.
