Description
A raw and expressive piece of industrial history, this original engineering pattern mould was used approximately 60 years ago in the production of mining machinery components.
Finished in its original red factory paint, the surface is heavily worn, revealing layers of patina, exposed wood, and marks from decades of use. The lower section shows pronounced wear, adding to its authentic, time-worn character.
The design is anchored by a central horizontal raised bar, giving the piece structure, while the surface is dominated by bold, hand-painted factory markings. The large black lettering (“SIMCO C/W 88 15”) creates a strong graphic statement, almost like industrial typography.
Faint layout lines, scratches, and markings remain visible beneath the surface, adding depth and telling the story of its original purpose.
Crafted from solid wood with metal fittings and mounting points, it retains the rugged integrity of its industrial origins.
This piece can be mounted on a wall using a sturdy bolt, or styled leaning against a wall for a bold, curated look.
A true one-of-a-kind statement piece, this is authentic industrial décor – gritty, graphic, and rich in history.
