Description
A bold and character-rich piece of industrial history, this original engineering pattern mould was used approximately 40 to 60 years ago in the production of mining machinery components.
Like its counterpart, this piece features a layered grey-over-red finish, worn back over time to reveal the original paint beneath, creating a textured surface full of depth and story.
What sets this piece apart is its strong central vertical spine, flanked by raised cross-like forms. This gives it a more directional, architectural presence, making it a striking standalone feature or a powerful pairing element.
Markings are worn but still visible, including faint traces of “SIMCO ENG” and “2A”, along with partially faded etched factory text, subtle reminders of its original use and identity.
Crafted from solid wood with metal fittings and mounting points, it retains the rugged authenticity of its industrial origins.
This piece can be mounted on a wall using a sturdy bolt, or styled leaning for a curated, design-led look.
